ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to make necessary correction in the Patta issued in the name of the petitioner with regard to the extent in respect of the property situated in S.No.112/12 at Keezhmidalam Village, Karungal Sub Registry, Kanyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6

4. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property with an extent of 3.79 Ares was purchased by him under a registered Sale Deed dated 10.12.2021. In the patta issued to the petitioner, the extent of the petitioner is wrongly mentioned as 3 Ares instead of 3.79 Ares, therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 27.05.2022, seeking correction of patta with regard to the extent. The same has not been considered and hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate who appeared for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 27.05.2022 would be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. 3/6

7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
