The wife, who is facing the proceedings for divorce launched by the husband in D.O.P.No.37 of 2020, on the file of the Additional District Court, Tuticorin seeks transfer of the same to the Family Court, Nagercoil.

2. Transfer is sought for mainly on the ground of convenience. Even in the original petition filed before the Additional District Court, Tuticorin, address of service of wife is given at Nagercoil.

3. The respondent/husband has not appeared either in person or through counsel, despite service duly instructed.

4. Considering the reasons assigned as well as the convenience of the wife, D.O.P.No.37 of 2020, on the file of the Additional District Court, Tuticorin is withdrawn and transferred to the file of Family Court, Nagercoil. The Additional District Court, Tuticorin is directed to transmit the papers to the Family Court, Nagercoil forthwith. Accordingly, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. However, there will be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
