ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 04.04.2024 seeking the cancellation of patta in Patta Nos.1997 and 226 issued in favour of the private respondents 2 to 5 in respect of the land situated in Survey No.139/10 in Merpanaikadu Village and Survey Nos.16/1 and 16/5 in Sathanenthal Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.N.Jeyaram Sidharath, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5. Since no adverse order is passed against the respondents 2 to 5, notice to them is dispensed with.

3.By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.It is the case of the petitioner that she has got right over the subject property under Hiba settlement deed executed by her maternal grandmother, Pathumuthuammal on 01.03.1982. The patta for the subject property has been erroneously issued by the revenue authorities in favour of private respondents 2 to 5. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent on 04.04.2025 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of respondents 2 to 5. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the

representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
