Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2016 and to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the patta in Survey no.526(1-C) Surandai Village, Veerakeralampudur Taluk, Tirunelveli District in the petitioner's name. ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2016 and to transfer the patta in Survey No.526(1-C) Surandai Village, Veerakeralampudur Taluk, Tirunelveli District in the petitioner's name.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and perused the records carefully. 3.The petitioner is said to have filed an on-line application, before the second respondent/Tahsildar, Veerakeralamputhur Taluk, for transfer of patta. Subsequently, he received a SMS from the office of the second respondent and no reason has been given for rejecting his application. In the above circumstances, the petitioner made an appeal before the first respondent, on 23.01.2016, against the said order. In the above appeal, he also sought for some action against the Village https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Administrative Officer, who is said to have demanded bribe from the petitioner. The said appeal, dated 23.01.2016, is pending before the first respondent and sofar, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed this writ petition.

4.In the above circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 23.01.2016, after issuing notice to the petitioner and rival claimants, if any and pass orders, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
