PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to grant sanction for initiation of criminal proceedings under section 197 of Cr.P.C as against the respondents 4 to 7 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2024. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, as against the respondents 1 to 3 to grant sanction for initiation of criminal proceedings under section 197 of Cr.P.C as against the respondents 4 to 7 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2024.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made several allegations that one Sathish has cheated her and has also committed rape on her for which she has lodged a complaint before the respondent police. However, the respondent police have not acted upon her 2/5

compliant. Therefore, the petitioner had made a request by way of her representation and has filed this application.

3. This Court is not inclined to grant relief to the petitioner as prayed for. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the Umachikulam All Women Police Station and the Inspector of Police, Umachikulam All Women Police Station, is directed to conduct a fair and proper enquiry and to proceed further in accordance with law. No costs.
