Respondents PRAYER : This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Engineer Electrical Grade II under the Diploma Holder quota on par with his juniors by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2020 with all attendant and monetary benefits within the time stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 1/3
2.This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Engineer Electrical Grade II under the Diploma Holder quota on par with his juniors by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2020 with all attendant and monetary benefits.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that his junior was promoted to the post of Junior Engineer Electrical Grade-II. But the petitioner was not granted any promotion till date. Therefore, he has given a representation dated 18.09.2020, explaining all the above facts and requested to consider his name for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer Electrical Grade-II. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, without any other options, the petitioner approaches this Court by way of present writ petition.
4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that in a similar issue there are number of writ petitions are pending before this Court. However, in the present case, the petitioner has given a representation on 18.09.2020 and the same will be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law. 5.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2020 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this orders, on merits and in accordance with law. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
