Heard Mr.S.Muniyandi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the second 1/4

respondent and Mr.VR.Shanmugathan, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent.

2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the selection list dated 22.05.2024 passed by the second respondent and consequently, to direct the respondent to select the petitioner in the recruitment for the post of Graduate Teacher.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner appeared in the competitive examination conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board and as per the results published by the Board, the petitioner had secured 76 marks. The petitioner claims that the petitioner is eligible to get 17 more marks as bonus and for the questions, which has multiple answers. However, the respondent had only given 10 marks and the remaining 7 marks were not given by the respondent. If the said 7 marks are given by the respondent, the petitioner would have come under the zone of consideration as the cut off mark for candidates falling under SC (Women) category is 86.5 marks.

5.The petitioner makes all these submissions without seeing the copy of OMR sheet. She has filed this writ petition purely on her own presumption that she has to be given with 7 marks as per the own valuation made by her after the answer key was released by the Board. Further, the petitioner without any valid reasons cannot claim the marks remaining to reach the cut off marks. The petitioner, who has not reached the zone of consideration cannot explore chances by way of filing mere writ petition with unclear grounds.

6.I do not find any merits in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
