ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to consider the representation made by the petitioner to grant police protection in order to conduct the festival at Sree Valampuri Vinayakar and Sree Pattathu Arasi Amman Temple.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the rival parties submitted that the petitioner has no locus standi to file this writ petition and there is a suit pending in O.S.NO.113 of 2018 on the file of the Principal District Munsif Court, Aruppukkottai with regard to the right of the parties.

3. In view of the dispute that has been raised in this case, there shall be a direction to the sixth respondent to refer the matter to the Thasildar, Aruppukottai, who in turn shall call all the parties concerned in order to conduct a peace committee meeting with regard to conduct of the festival in a peaceful manner.

4. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. A certified copy of the order can be given to the counsel who appeared for the rival parties.
