Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform of cultural programme Aadal Paadal and Karagattam to be celebrated on 29.04.2017 and 30.04.2017 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2017 in connection with the Chithirai Festival at Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Thirukovil, Alunthalaippur Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Ganapathi Subramanian For Respondent : Mr.K.Guru, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting the programmes mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 13.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 13.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
