PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.1 of 2021 on the file of the 2nd respondent and file a final report within the time limit stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the official respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.1 of 2021, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC and Section 5 of Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997 on 29.03.2021.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even after a lapse of 6 months, so far the investigation has not been completed and no final report has been filed before the concerned Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that there are totally 85 depositors and subsequently, 50 complaints have been received against the accused persons. So, he seeks 6 months time to complete the investigation and file the final report.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.13506 of 2021 5.Considering the total number of the depositors, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report before the concerned Court within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing the final report, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry.

6.This petition is disposed of, with the above direction.
