Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to issue necessary direction to the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action as against the erred officials, working in the 3rd respondent's Town Panchayat by conducting proper enquiry, based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2016 made to the respondents.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation, dated 12.04.2016, wherein, he has requested for enquiry against the Executive Officer of Pallapatti Panchayat.

2. This Public Interest Litigation has come up today for admission. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and 2 and the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent.

3. In our considered view, in the absence of any materials to make out a prima facie warranting enquiry, we cannot issue a direction as prayed for. In our considered view, in view of the fast approaching local body elections, this petition appears to be an attempt to settle the personal score by creating a platform before this Court. This cannot be encouraged. Therefore, this petition is dismissed. No costs.
