Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the proceedings in R.C.No.10/D1/2020, dated 17.11.2020, passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to permit the petitioner to serve in the same place that is in Madurai. Heard Mr.C.M.Arumugam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Mareeskumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

2.The petitioner is aggrieved against the transfer order of the second respondent dated 17.11.2020, whereby, the petitioner was transferred from Madurai to Ariyalur. Though various grounds have been raised in the writ petition, challenging the transfer order, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is not pressing any of the grounds raised therein, since there is a vacancy https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.16794 of 2020 in Trichy, whereby, he intends to make a request to the second respondent to have him transfer to Trichy, instead of Ariyalur. 3.The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 also submits that if such representation made by the petitioner, it would be considered on its own merits. 4.In the light of the submissions made on either side, the petitioner is granted liberty to make a representation to the second respondent seeking for transfer to the vacancy at Trichy. On such representation being made, the second respondent shall consider it as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of of such representation. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
