ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for quashing the First Information Report in Crime No.22 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent police.

2. When this matter was taken for hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the police have completed the investigation and filed charge sheet and the same was taken on file as C.C.No.615 of 2021 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tirunelveli, for the offences under Section 420, 423, 467, 468, 471, 120(b), 419 of IPC.

3. Since the very purpose for which the petitioner has been filed, seeking quashment has already been defeated on account of completion of investigation and filing a charge sheet, this petition become infructuous thereby, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is directed to challenge the charge 2/4

sheet if he is advised. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
