This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.11.2016 regarding inclusion of her name in the approved list of Assistant of the year 2012 within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthaiah, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the
petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent, namely, The Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.11.2016, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
