ORDER

The appellant is the sole accused in Crime No.11 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police. He was arrested on 24.03.2026 for the offence under Sections 69 and 79 of BNS r/w Section 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (POA) Act. Therefore he filed an application seeking bail before the trial court in CrlMP.No.91 of 2026 and the same was dismissed by the court on 24.08.2026. Challenging the same, the appellant has filed this appeal. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the appellant was working as a professor in a college and he collected half-nude photos of students and intimidated them. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant was arrested on 24.03.2026 and since then he is in jail. The appellant has not committed any offence, it is a love affair and it is consensual relationship. The other alleged victim did not want to pursue the police complaint. Therefore, the appellant seeks bail. 2/4

4.The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent police submits that the appellant being a professor has abused two girls, studying in the college, who belong to the scheduled caste. The case is at the investigation stage. Therefore, she opposes bail to the appellant. 5.This court has heard the learned counsel on either side. 6.Considering the nature of offence, the stage of the investigation and the status of the appellant as a Lecturer in an educational institution, this court is not inclined grant bail to the appellant. Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed.
