O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the impugned order passed by the 2nd Respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.11/The.Kallupatti Kaval Vattam/2023 dated 21.06.2023 and consequently seeking direction to the Respondents to permit the petitioner to conducting Adal Padal on 27.06.2023 at about 07.00 PM during the Conducting festival of Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman Kovil, V.Kuchampatti, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District. 2.Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondent police, on 17.06.2023, seeking permission to conduct the Adal Padal Programme during the temple festival. The same was rejected by the second respondent. Challenging the same the present writ petition has been filed. 4.The representation given by the petitioner was rejected by the 2/5

order dated 21.06.2023, stating that already law and order problem was created in Vannivalampatti, because of the rivalry between the two communal group belongs to the very same Village, during the temple festival. Another occurrence was also taken place in Melapatti Village, where during the course of eviction process, the Villagers made objection, in which, the police people were attacked. Therefore, the entire picketing is going on in the above said Villages. 5.Because of the continuous trouble in the neighbouring area, they are not in position to give police protection to conduct the above said event. Therefore, the petitioner has to wait till the problem eased out. After that he can revive his request and the same may be considered by the respondent police.

6.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
