2. The petitioner would state that as per the Transfer Certificate issued to him by C.Mu.Mu.Aru.Alamelu Arunachalam
Higher Secondary School, Paniyapatti, Pudukottai District, it has been stated that he belongs to Kurumban (Backward class) Community. In the said Certificate, it has been mentioned as 'Most Backward Class'. However, the petitioner applied to the second respondent for issuance of Hindu Kuruamans Certificate, which is a Scheduled Tribe category, and in this regard, he also submitted a representation to the first respondent on 02.04.2016 and it was forwarded to the second respondent for taking appropriate action by him. Despite that, the second respondent is yet to take any action. Hence, the petitioner came forward with the present Writ Petition.
3. This Court heard the submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.VR.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents and perused the materials produced before us.
4. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief in this Writ Petition, in the light of the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, as projected by the petitioner, either in his representation or in this Writ Petition, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the grievance of the petitioner in the light of communication of the first respondent in Letter No.5440/Sa.Mo1/2016-1, dated 11.04.2016, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner, forthwith.
In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
