Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner and Melakulam Village people to conduct the Ayya Vazhi Isai Sorpolivu (Religious Discourse) on 03.08.2019 from 09.00 PM to 01.00 AM (Four Hours) at the Arulmigu Ayya Vaigundar Srimenth Narayanasamy Tharmathangal, is situated at Melakulam Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2019.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner and Melakulam Village people to conduct the Ayya Vazhi Isai Sorpolivu (Religious Discourse) on 03.08.2019 from 09.00 PM to 01.00 AM (Four Hours) at the Arulmigu Ayya Vaigundar Srimenth Narayanasamy Tharmathangal, situated at Melakulam Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2019.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner and his village people are conducting the temple festival, in which, they organised a religious discourse, after conducting poojas to the Arulmigu Ayya Vaigundar Srimenth Narayanasamy Tharmathangal situated at Melakulam Village. The petitioner made a representation dated 19.07.2019 seeking permission https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and protection to conduct the Ayya Vazhi Isai Sorpolivu (Religious Discourse) on 03.08.2019 from 09.00 PM to 01.00 AM. But, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the aforesaid relief.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is using loud speakers and also causing disturbance to the neighbours in the mid night. Hence, objections have been raised. In the above circumstances, the petitioner's representation has not been considered.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner and his village people are only conducting the Ayya Vazhi Isai Sorpolivu (Religious Discourse), the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2019 and grant permission to conduct the Ayya Vazhi Isai Sorpolivu (Religious Discourse) on 03.08.2019 from 09.00 p.m., to 11.00 p.m., imposing necessary conditions for maintaining law and order.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
