Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct fair election in the petitioner's Jamath (ie)Sabashkhan Gori Pallivasal Muslim Hanabi Mathabu Jamath situtated at Sivakasi Town, Virudhuangar District, as per approved Jamathars List and as per provisions of the Wakf Act and By-laws of the Jamath by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 09.12.2016 within a time frame as fixed by this Court. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to conduct fair election in the petitioner's Jamath (ie) Sabashkhan Gori Pallivasal Muslim Hanabi Mathabu Jamath situated at Sivakasi Town, Virudhuangar District, as per approved Jamathars List and as per provisions of the Wakf Act and By-laws of the Jamath by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 09.12.2016 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

Mr.K.K.Senthil, learned counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents, submitted that though the petitioner has not made any representation to the respondents as claimed by him, the election will be conducted certainly in a fair and proper manner and therefore, the petitioner's apprehension has no basis at all.

4. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD) No.49 of 2017 is closed.
