This writ petition has been filed, seeking to forbear the respondent from disconnecting the electricity service connection in consumer No.07081011827 without following due process of law. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he applied for service connection under Low Tension Tariff-V, which is higher than the Tariff-IV; that he is using electricity for agricultural and poultry product purposes for the past two years; that the respondent inspected the service connection during the last week of June, 2016 and informed that he should not use the connection for pumping water and it should be used only for construction work and the breach will result in criminal prosecution; that he has not committed any theft of electricity and he has been paying the higher tariff; that the petitioner sent a representation dated 29.06.2016 to the respondent requesting him not to take any steps to disconnect the electricity service connection and since there https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is no response for the said representation, he has approached this Court with the relief stated supra.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would, on instruction from the respondent, submit that the inspection conducted by the respondent is a routine check up and that there is no idea of disconnecting the electricity service connection provided to the petitioner.

5. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
