PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the second respondent herein to commence the investigation and file final report in Crime No.275 of 2017 dated 19.05.2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Devathanapatti Police Station, Theni District. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Appadurai For Respondents : Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi Government Advocate (Crl.Side)

ORDER

This petition has been filed to issue a direction to the second respondent to file a final report in Crime No.275 of 2017 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the case was registered in Crime No.275 of 2017, investigation has not yet been completed. Hence, he filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the

respondent police, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.275 of 2017 has been registered and he will complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of two weeks before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
