[Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking direction to the respondents to provide necessary police protection under the direct supervision of the first respondent / Superintendent of police on the date of election of Pazhavoor Primary Agricultural Co-Operative Society at Pazhavoor, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2018. 2.Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

4.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the present writ petition is a premature one and hurriedly filed without even taking note of the fact that the election announced was already cancelled. If and when there is any election, adequate care will be taken for conducting free and fair election.

5.Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
