: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Assistant Manager with effect from 17.10.2020 the date on which his next immediate juniors P.Sabarimuthu and others were promoted as requested in his representations dated 15.10.2020 and 19.10.2020 placing him in the appropriate place in the seniority list with all monetary benefits arising thereon consequent on his promotion, within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is his request for promotion to the post of Assistant Manager with effect from 17.10.2020 has not been considered by the respondents . Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

W.P(MD)No.16914 of 2020 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 05.09.2020 is directed to be disposed of, within a stipulated time limit.

4.In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court, without expressing anything on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
