Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2012 and 10.04.2017 respectively and consequently, to issue joint patta for petitioner's property situated at Survey No.311/1 having extent of 7200 square meter in Bank Veethi (East First Street), Shanmuganathapuram Panchayat, Shanmuganathapuram Melasemponmari Group, Devakottai Sub District, Sivagangai District within a stipulated time.

The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 10.01.2012 and 10.04.2017.

2. The petitioner would claim that his mother executed a gift settlement deed settling the property in favour of the petitioner and his brother vide Document No.4081/11. Subsequently, he approached the respondents and filed an application on 10.01.2012 for issuance of Joint Patta. Thereafter, sent a representation on 10.04.2017. Since no action was taken, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.S.Muthukumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader

appearing for the respondents.

4. In the light of the above prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 10.01.2012 and 10.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing necessary opportunities, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
