The petitioner has approached this Court that the respondent police is harassing him under the guise of an enquiry.

2. Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the respondents submits that this petitioner is the defacto complainant's(Crime No.50 of 2019) brother's son. The above crime number is pending on the file of the Central Crime Branch, Madurai. During the course of investigation, they found that there are certain materials as against this petitioner and therefore, in order to ascertain the role of the petitioner in the commission of offence, they have summoned the petitioner for producing the relevant documents. The petitioner without appearing before the respondent police has approached this Court as if the respondent police are harassing him. According to the respondent police, they suspect this petitioner as an accused in Crime number 50 of 2019. 3.According to the respondent police, they are having some materials as against this petitioner to array him as an accused in Crime 2/5

No.50 of 2019. In the event, if they found that there are sufficient materials as against the petitioner, it is open to the respondent police to file the final report as against him. Having come to a conclusion that the petitioner is also an accused in the above crime number, it is open to the respondent police to secure him for further interrogation. They need not harass the petitioner unnecessarily. 4.With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
