Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2018 and appoint the petitioner notionally from the date on which Mr.B.Patturajan was appointed as Work Inspector and promote the petitioner as Overseer and place the petitioner's name in the respective place in the seniority list of Work Inspector and Overseer. O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation, dated 06.09.2018, and appoint the petitioner notionally from the date on which Mr.B.Patturajan was appointed as Work Inspector and promote the petitioner as Overseer and place the petitioner's name in the respective place in the seniority list of Work Inspector and Overseer.

2. Mr.S.Dhayalan, the learned Government Advocate takes Notice for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the appeal filed by the petitioner is disposed of on merits and in accordance with law, within a time https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the Authority concerned is directed to dispose of the appeal said to have filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of and if there are no legal impediments. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
