PRAYER:Criminal Original Petition - filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the learned Special Judge, Special Court for the trial of cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Tiruchirappalli to complete the trial in Special Calender Case No.5 of 2013 on his file within time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been charge sheeted for the offence under Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 along with two others. Though FIR is of the year 2010, final report has been filed on 28.02.2013 and it has been taken on file by the Special Court as Special Calender Case No.5 of 2013. Till date the prosecution has examined only three witnesses out of 61 witnesses listed. Hence, he seeks for speedy disposal of the case.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the Special Court for the trial of cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Trichy is now dealing with around 124 cases and presently the cases of the year 2002 is being tried. Further, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that they will take all necessary endeavor to complete the trial of this case at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the earliest.
4.Considering the above facts, this Court is of the view that the Special Court has to be directed to expedite the trial and disposal of the cases pending in that Court. As for as this case is concerned, since the trial has already commenced and some witnesses have been examined, it is necessary for the Court as well as the prosecution to marshal their witnesses on day to day basis and complete the trial not later than six months from today. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
