Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to grant permission to perform the cultural programme of Adal Padal on 25.04.2017 at night 07.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. at Arulmigu Sri Manicka Nachiyappan Thirukovil is situated at Therkkupattu, Kandramanickam Post, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District and to provide adequate police protection based on petitioner's representations dated 17.04.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 17.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 17.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
