Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 10.04.2017 within the time stipulated by this Court in accordance with law by giving necessary police protection during the conduct of the temple festival from 08.05.2017 to 10.05.2017 at Arulmighu Srimangalanayagi Kannagidevi Thirukkovil situated at Paliyankudi, Koodaloor, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Mahendran For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary police protection for conducting temple festival in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 10.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 10.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
