O R D E R
The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to cancel the legal heir certificate issued in favour of respondents 4 to 11 and to issue a fresh legal heir certificate by including his name as one of the legal heirs of late Krishnan @ Krishna Konar.
2.The petitioner claims to be the son of the first wife of late Krishnan @ Krishna Konar, who passed away on 10.09.2017. The petitioner admits that the fourth respondent is the second wife of the deceased and that respondents 5 to 11 are the children born through the 2/6
said wedlock. According to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 11 have fraudulently obtained a legal heir certificate by excluding his name. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.04.2026 before respondents 1 to 3 seeking inclusion of his name in the legal heir certificate of late Krishnan @ Krishna Konar. The grievance of the petitioner is that no action has been taken on the said representation till date.
3.Mrs. K.R. Shivashankari, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2026 would be considered and disposed of by the third respondent, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is placed on record.
4.In view of the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the rival claims, this Court is inclined to direct the competent authority to consider the petitioner's representation in a time-bound manner.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2026, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties.
6.The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.There shall be no order as to costs.
