This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondent herein to refund the Security and Earnest Money deposits made with the Respondent Corporation relating to the work of Replacement of DC Pumping main to DI from Kondanagaram to Melapalayam Santhai Road OHT by considering the request letter / representation of the firm dated 15.02.2016.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on either side.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioners have been running a partnership firm, who have made huge amounts towards security and earnest money deposits with the respondent Corporation in respect of several works undertaken under contract. Though they have completed the works successfully, the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Corporation has not refunded the deposit amounts to them, which made the petitioners to submit a representation dated 15.02.2016 for refund of the same. Since no action was taken by the respondent so far, the petitioners have come before this Court with the above prayer.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent Corporation, by producing the proceedings of the Commissioner of the respondent Corporation dated 08.08.2017 has submitted that the refund of Security Deposit and Earnest Money Deposit, due to the petitioners, would be effected within six months of time.

5. Recording the submission made by learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, this writ petition is disposed of. The proceedings dated 08.08.2017 shall form part of this order. No costs.
