ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 16.05.2025, pending on the file of the 1st respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the 3rd respondent, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. According to the petitioner, the subject property originally belonged to his father Vasunathan @ Vasu Mooppar and the Patta also stands in the name of the petitioner's father in Patta No.685. The petitioner's father executed a gift deed on 06.04.2022, settling the property in favour of the petitioner. Based on the said documents, the petitioner made a representation before the 2nd respondent seeking mutation of revenue records in his favour. The same has been rejected by the 2nd respondent. Aggrived by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 16.05.2025 and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the appeal submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 16.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, 3rd respondent, 4th respondent and other interested parties, if any.

7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
