This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant leave to the petitioner for taking cataract treatment, on the basis of his representation dated 24.08.2016.
2.Heard Mr.K.Gokul, learned counsel for for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.The case of the petitioner is that his right eye has been operated, for which, he availed leave for two months and therefore, for the operation on the left eye, leave for a period https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
of six months can be considered. So stating, the petitioner has given a representation dated 24.08.2016 to the respondents. As no order has been passed, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.During the course of argument, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though the petitioner has sought for six months leave, he is prepared to avail leave for a period of two months.
5.Under such circumstances, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
