This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the Notification issued by the second respondent University dated 30.09.2020 and to quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent University to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.07.2017, for suitable promotion in the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the Career Advancement Scheme along with all other attendant benefits, as per norms laid down by AICTE, UGC and G.O.(Ms) No.19, Higher Education (C2) Department dated 14.01.2020.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent University would submit that during the pendency of the writ petition, the date of absorption is revised from 08.07.2014 to 01.08.2012 (F.N.) in respect of petitioner Dr.A.Manivannan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Regional Campus, Tirunelveli, the petitioner herein, vide order dated 16.11.2022.

3. In view of the above, no further order is necessary in this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh representation for receiving the monetary benefits. No costs.
