ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the official respondents. Issuance of notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with.

2.It is seen that the fifth respondent herein had sought information from the third respondent. In this regard, the petitioner was summoned. The petitioner is a senior citizen. He is a retired employee. He was already made to appear thrice. It is in this background, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3.The petitioner shall appear before the third respondent on 05.08.2024 at 03.00 pm. The petitioner shall place his objections in writing and it shall be taken on record. The petitioner will not be summoned again. The third 2/4

respondent shall pass final order on merits and in accordance with law in the matter within a period of six weeks thereafter. The third respondent will bear the legal position in mind. While passing final order, he will have to take into account the petitioner's objections. The learned counsel for the petitioner wants this Court to mandate the third respondent to bear in mind Rule 4(4) of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Rules. I am certain that the third respondent is aware of the legal position and he will pass an appropriate order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
