O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 28.10.2023, seeking rectification of the error occurred in the UDR entry in respect of property situate in S.No.479/19 in A.Vallalapatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District to an extent of 030.50 Hectares, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.M.Mahaboob Fazil, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he purchased the subject property under a sale deed dated 18.04.1974 and she has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. During UDR updation, the name of one Mohammed Kamaludeen had been wrongly included in respect of the 2/5

subject property in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application before the first respondent on 28.10.2023, seeking correction of the error. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 28.10.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, Mohammed Kamalaudeen and other interested parties.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
