Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to renew the defunct society namely Anna Nagar K.K.Nagar Nadar Uravinmurai Society, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to renew the defunct society viz., Anna Nagar K.K.Nagar Nadar Uravinmurai Society, within the stipulated time. 2.Heard Mr.T.Lajapathiroy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that as per the notification issued by the Government, the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.16798 of 2019 society is declared as defunct. He further submitted that if the petitioner has filed appropriate application before the authority concerned under the Rules, the same will be considered. 4.In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will make a necessary application before the authority concerned to renew the defunct Society, in accordance with the relevant Rules.

5.In view of the submissions made on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned to work out his remedy under the Rules. No costs.
