Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.1 to include the petitioner name in the panel for promotion for the post of Deputy Block Development Officer and consequently, direct the respondent No.1 to promote the petitioner as Deputy Block Development Officer and provide all other benefits within the time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondent No.1 to include the petitioner's name in the panel for promotion for the post of Deputy Block Development Officer and consequently, direct the respondent No.1 to promote him as Deputy Block Development Officer and provide all other benefits within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr. Aayiram K. Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. At the time of hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that even though a larger relief is sought for in this Writ Petition, it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.07.2019, within the time frame fixed by this Court. He further made a request before this Court to grant two days time to file any additional particulars to the respondents, if necessary.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the said representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law.

5. By considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to make any additional particulars to the respondents, within a period of two days from today, if necessary. The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.07.2019 along with the additional particulars, if any filed within the aforesaid period, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
