Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural events of Innisai Katcheri from 02.05.2017 to 11.05.2017 at Sri Alagu Parvathi Amman Temple, Surandai, Veeralakeralamputhur Taluk, Tirunelveli District and to give police protection during the festival sessions by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Saravana Kumar For Respondents : Mr.K.Guru, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme in the place mentioned therein from 02.05.2017 to 11.05.2017 on the basis of the representation dated 15.04.2017, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 15.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 15.04.2017 and take appropriate action within a period of two days.
