Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.07.2016 ie., to measure the petitioner's land in S.No.45/1 into the extent of 3 acre at Paluvakudai Village, Palkulam Group, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. According to the petitioner, he filed an application before the second respondent to measure his property, measuring to an extent of 3 acres, situated at Paluvakudai Village, Palkulam Group, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai. The said application is pending before the second respondent from 21.07.2016. But the second respondent did not take any action so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 21.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders, with regard to survey of the land and to fix boundaries as per revenue records, after issuing notice to the neighbouring land owners. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
