O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to implement the order of the Appellate Authority in Appeal No.412 of 2005, dated 22.10.2008 for grant of mini bus permit on the route Ottanchathiram Cross Road to Kuttinaickkanpatti.

2.The petitioner is a mini-bus operator. She preferred an appeal against the order passed by the respondent, rejecting the request for grant of mini-bus permit. The appellate authority namely the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, by an order dated 22.10.2008, set aside the order dated 11.04.2005, passed by the respondent and remanded the matter for fresh consideration. It is grievance of the petitioner that the respondent has not disposed of the matter, as directed by the appellate authority. 3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

merits of the case, a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the proceedings pending before it, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
