ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondent police to take action in respect of the complaint given to various agencies against one Nithiarasan, Govindan and some unknown persons, who have received money from the petitioner and others to the tune of Rs.78,00,000/- promising to provide jobs to 13 persons including the petitioner's son. However, the said persons have failed to provide jobs and failed to give the money back, basing on which a complaint has been given to the police on 30.06.2022 and when the action has not been taken by the police, the petitioner stated to have sent a complaint to the respondent Nos.1 to 3 and even then no action has been taken. On 22.01.2022, a complaint is also filed before the Cantonment Board, Trichy.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the petitioner has sent a online complaint to the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, basing on which the Inspector of Police has issued summons to the petitioner for enquiry and the petitioner stated to have appeared in the said enquiry. However, no action has been taken. It is submitted further that the complaint of the 2/5

petitioner is registered as C.No.1292/COP CO/2022 and an enquiry is being initiated.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to file a fresh application before the Cantonment Police Station, Trichy, on which the concerned police is directed to conduct an enquiry and take action without loosing any time and complete the same within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of such complaint. In case if the complaint shows the commission of cognizable offence, the concerned police are at liberty to register a case. No costs.
