Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for the annual temple festival and its connected functions and arrangements, including flex boards at Sri Athisaya Vinayagar Temple at Ambal Nagar, Vadakangulam, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District for the period 01.05.2017 to 10.05.2017 up to 1.00 a.m., every day by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme in the place mentioned therein from 01.05.2017 to 10.05.2017 upto 01.00 a.m., on the basis of the representation dated 19.04.2017, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

3.It is seen from the records that on 19.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 19.04.2017 and take appropriate action within a period of two days.
