This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that based on a complaint given by the third respondent, who is none other than the mother of the petitioner, the second respondent Police is harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the present complaint has been given 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submitted that, on a complaint lodged by the petitioner's mother viz., Kannammal / third respondent herein, against the petitioner alleging that the petitioner has taken away her jewels and money. the second respondent is conducting enquiry. The petitioner without appearing for enquiry, has filed the present petition. He further submitted that the second respondent has not harassed the petitioner nor intent to harass her.

4. The submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is recorded. Considering the fact that the enquiry in this case is pending, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent and co-operate with the investigation. At this stage, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted.

5. The Criminal Original Petition stands closed accordingly.
