Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Aadalpadal scheduled to be held on 03.05.2017 at night in connection with ''Chithirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Manthai Kaliamman Kovil at Mela Street, Annanji, Unjam Patti Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.J.M.Jeya Karthick For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the 2nd respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 10.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
