PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members by considering the representation dated 10.09.2018. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Selva For R1 and R2 : Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi Government Advocate (crl. side)

O R D E R

This petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already given a complaint and the police have registered an F.I.R. in Crime No.160 of 2018. Subsequent to the registration of the F.I.R., the accused persons are threatening the petitioner and there is a potential threat to the life and limb of the petitioner. The petitioner is a lady, seeking for police protection.

3.In the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to call the parties and give appropriate instructions. If the third respondent continues to involve in any threat to the petitioner, the second respondent police is directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law.
