No.1012101029500 in the Canara Bank, Thallakulam Branch at Madurai which was put on hold by the 2nd Respondent and to direct the 2nd Respondent to permit the petitioner to operate his pension S/B account No. 1012101029500 in the Canara Bank, Thallakulam Branch at Madurai. ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction, directing the 2nd Respondent to release the S/B account of the petitioner in S/B.No.1012101029500 in the Canara Bank, Thallakulam Branch at Madurai and to direct the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to operate the same.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner availed an educational loan for his daughter and there is an outstanding of Rs.7,94,000/- and for the above said loan, the S/B account of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner in S/B. No.1012101029500 was freezed by the respondent Bank.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents Bank submitted that the Bank had already released the petitioner's bank account and now, there is nothing remained to be released. He further submitted that out of Rs.7,94,000/-, the respondent Bank is ready to waive interest portion to an extent of Rs.3,00,000/- and the remaining amount of Rs.4,00,000/- only, the petitioner has to pay.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents Bank also submitted that the petitioner has already availed a personal loan of Rs.2,00,000/- and out of that, he has to pay only Rs.40,000/-, he can very well avail the said facility. 5.In the above circumstances, it is open to the petitioner to approach the respondent Bank and avail the above offer given by the respondent Bank and take steps to discharge the outstanding loan amount to the respondent Bank. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed.
