ORDER
The petitioners, who are A1 to A3 in Cr.No.158 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, have filed this petition to quash the said proceedings.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Cr.No.158 of 2025 has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kovilpatti, through E.Filing.
3.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report through E-filing is not enough. It is the duty of the first respondent Police to ensure that the final report is taken on file, within a reasonable time. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Kovilpatti is expected to take up the final report on file, without any delay, if it is otherwise in order. gns 19.06.2025 2/4
