O R D E R
This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, directing the 1st respondent to complete the enquiry in Manu.Na.Ka.No.167/ 2010 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing respondents.
3. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though a petition was filed by the petitioner before the respondent under the provisions of TamilNadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status of Workmen Act), 1981, for confirming the permanent status for payment of statutory benefits, the petitioner states that the petition is pending from 2010. Hence, he seeks indulgence of this Court to give direction to the first respondent to complete the enquiry and dispose of the proceeding pending before the first respondent.
5. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry in Manu.Na.Ka.No.167/ 2010, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
