Prayer in W.P.783/2017 : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner as Deputy Conservator of Forest by considering his representation dated 30.12.2016 within a time frame as fixed by this Honourable Court. For Petitioner(in both WPs) : Mr.T.Antony Arulraj For Respondents(in both WPs) : Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER The prayer in these writ petitions is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioners as Deputy Conservator of Forest, by considering their representations dated 29.12.2012 and 30.12.2016, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents. At the consent of the learned counsel for both sides, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal and are disposed of by this common order. 3.Though the petitioners have come out with the aforesaid prayer, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that if a direction is given by this Court to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners to the 1st respondent on 29.12.2012 and 30.12.2016 respectively, and the same are disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, the petitioners would be satisfied.

4.Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and after hearing the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose these writ petitions without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners in the said representations with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representations of the petitioners dated 29.12.2012 and 30.12.2016 respectively, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
